
Sarkar Raj, a sequel to Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar is all set to hit the big screen on June 6th. The film will star Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Tanisha Mukherjee and significant others.
Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), CEO of an international power company brings a power plant proposal to be set up in Maharashtra. This she does with the intention of making money for her organization. Abhishek, the scion of the Nagare family, realizes the benefits of the proposal and tries to make money for the people out of this proposal. He convinces Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan), who is against the proposal and goes ahead with implementing it.
However, this does not prove to be a bed of roses for him. He faces contradiction from some evil forces, who are ready to incite millions of people against this controversial project. Is Shankar able to make his dream project successful? Is he able to convince people and fight against the forces forms the climax.
Aishwarya and Abhishek are portrayed as two contradictory characters. Aishwarya plays the role of a ruthless business woman, who believes in money making while Abhishek on the other hand strives to make money for the people. The film has a socio-political background is believed to be the first film of Ram Gopal Varma on this subject.
The movie will be premiered at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) to be held in Bangkok before the date of its commercial release. The trio, Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya get together in this film for the first time.
Music is composed by Amar Mohile and cinematographer is Amit Roy. This long-awaited movie is expected to be a winner commercially especially with its star power.
